oh, hello.

when I was one
I had just begun

when I was two
I was nearly new

when I was three
I was hardly me

when I was four
I was not much more

When I was five
I was just alive

but now I am six, I'm as clever as clever
so I think I'll be six for ever and ever

Where to begin...
I have not been on here since the beginning of January and here we are halfway through March. I suppose I lost interest in writing. Or sharing. Or whatever it was.

Perhaps I'll start with a few highlighted updates of what has happened since we last met.

H I G H L I G H T S

it snowed. a lot.
I went ice skating once.
we celebrated our one year anniversary during a snow storm.
a dear family friend passed away rather suddenly.
my very first first-cousin got engaged.
it snowed some more.
we celebrated our first valentines day together.
I babysat.
I cooked.
I cleaned.
I ate.
I slept.
I laughed.
I cried.

As always, life has just been plugging along. Some days are good. Some days are bad. But all are in the hands of God.

I have recently been once again struggling with many things. Deep personal things. Some that are in my control, while others are not. Life sure is a tough road to travel. Perhaps if I cross your mind, you might whisper a little prayer for myself and my best friend? We sure could use them.

How has your life been? Anything exciting happen? Tell me about it! I'd love to hear.

when it gets to quiet I put something cozy and comforting going. <3

One year!

The hotel we stayed in.

I was extremely nervous about going away for the night because of the storm coming in. We made it safely to our motel but soon after the snow started piling high. Then sleet and freezing rain. If you know me, you know I am terrified of traveling in bad weather, especially snow and ice. Though I enjoyed our night away (the first since our honeymoon) I was very nervous and didn't sleep well knowing we would have to make the scary drive back on ice.
We spent the evening in the hotel, ate cold sandwiches they had in the lobby, and soaked in a hot tub.

In the morning we slowly made our way to IHOP for breakfast. I didn't eat very well.

Slick roads! But Josiah drove slowly and though it took double the amount of time, we made it.

sick little man.

breakfast out with this guy. <3
