Kate Marie // 9 months old
This girl just keeps growing before my eyes.
Kate loves puppies, flowers, and going to visit Grandma's house. She loves music and will now dance to it sometimes.
This month she took her first steps and can stand on her own quite well though she is still timid. She loves to climb and walk along everything. Bath time is her favorite and she'll crawl right in the shower (we don't have a tub) even with her diaper still on.
She adores babies and it's her favorite word to say.
Kate is such a curious and silly little girl. She wants to play and explore, always.
Her smile is still contagious (though during this photo shoot she wanted to play, not smile) and her laugh is the best music ever.
We love our blue eyed angel.

behind the blogger // t a g
Yet another tag here on my blog! I don't have much time to do blog post these days but I still enjoy doing them and tags are quick and simple. Thank you baby sister (Liberty) for tagging me!

answer the questions
nominate 5+ bloggers
1. Why did you start blogging and why have you kept blogging?
Well, way back in February 2015 I was an eighteen year old girl trying to figure her life out. Not exactly sure where she was headed or what her purpose in life, that girl started blogging (under a different blog and personal name) as a way to express her feelings and thoughts scrambling around inside.
I (somewhat) continue blogging because even though my days are now busy with diapers and dishes, I still enjoy writing whenever I finally do sit down, and my blog is sort of my journal and the way I document my life and thoughts.

my favorite things ll 2020 edition
I rarely get on my blog these days but my baby sister over at πππ πΌππππππ₯ βπ π¨πππ£π tagged me for this little tag and I decided, why not? I am going to try and list things that I haven't said on here before. It may be hard because as LaKaysha said, I "don't like anything". *laughs*
I'm not going to list the three obvious favorites of mine (Josiah. Kate. Jesus) as those go without saying.
Here we go!
Here we go!

Some may not know that I enjoy riding bikes but I do! I haven't done much of it in the recent years but as a kid it was one of my favorite past times.
My husband grew up in New England with small towns and he biked everywhere. In the summer time he spent time camping at Cape Cod and biking up the canal or to get coffee in town. When we were dating he took me there and we did the same. It was so fun and relaxing. We need to go back and do it again!

Yep. I am the strange one who always loved, and still loves, cotton candy ice cream. It's so fun and sweet and brings back fond memories of childhood.

Almost every summer that I can remember my family has gone blueberry picking. And for some years of my life we had our own bushes. Blueberry picking is relaxing and fun. Getting outside in the sun, eating warm berries from the bush, and watching the bucket fill up is the best kind of therapy. I always said when I grew up I wanted to be a blueberry farmer and somewhere inside me I still do.

Hands down, oldies music is the only way to go.
My siblings get so annoyed with me when I wrinkle my nose at some of the "music" they choose to listen to. They say I am "narrow minded". Well, I can't help it. I am not purposely not liking the new music of today but I sincerely just don't enjoy it.
Give me oldies all the way. From Elvis Presley to Crystal Gayle. I am all for the softer tunes of past years.
You can not tell me that the jamming loud music beats the soft tones of Whispering Bill Anderson. I simply won't agree. Praise and worship? Give me the old hymns by George Jones.

As a kid I could not wait for it to finally be dark enough on Independence Day to shoot off those fireworks! They still give me such a thrill and I try to stay patient as I still watch the sun go down.

I love coffee. Especially my hot fresh cup every morning. Or when the hubby says I can get a "fun" coffee from the local coffee stand! Now that I am a mom and sleep is far from enough, coffee is my everything.

I'm sure as you all already know, I love cleaning. But I also love things smelling clean. As a kid my mom used good ole "pine-sol" until we switched to natural cleaning products. Still, the smell brings back so many fond memories. (am I crazy?)
Now I love to use tea tree oil to get that delicious "clean" smell.

I love the original two toy story movies. They're so cute and fun! I still enjoy watching them.
Well, there you have it! Eight random things I love. I don't have anyone to tag so I'll be breaking that rule. Hope you enjoyed! Maybe you even learned something new.

6 months of Kate Marie // baby girl update
May 10, 2020 - Mother's Day |
November 10, 2019 was one of the best days of my life. A tiny little girl entered the world and I haven't been the same since.
Fast forward 6 months and she still amazes me. How is it that my little baby is already half a year old? I promise I only blinked once.
Kate is a ball of energy and so much fun. Except when she's a crab, then she's a whole lot of work! *laughs*
She can never sit still and has to be rolling, jumping, walking, twisting, or wiggling at all moments. Sometimes I wish she would just sit and cuddle me.
She can run like crazy in her walker and tries to grab everything within reach, and then some.
She is learning how to use a sippy-cup, loves to eat baby food, wants to hold your fingers and walk, and Grandma is her whole world.
Kate has been teething for a while and recently she became quite the challenge. Thankfully, two teeth popped through and she has been so much happier!
Her big blue eyes melt me and that smile is enough to kill you.
Like her mama, she is a "early to bed. early to rise" person and wants to be in bed (most days) by 7:00 p.m. and up by 6:00 a.m.
Being a Mom is the hardest job I have ever done, and I know it only gets more challenging from here, but it's oh so worth it. I love watching her personality grow and can't wait to see what kind of person she becomes.

My Family // E A S T E R
On Easter Sunday we couldn't go to church, but we dressed up in our Easter clothes and did a little family photo shoot. I very rarely clean myself up but it was fun and I love how these turned out!
